Overview
One of the largest banks in the U.S. relied heavily on the legacy SharePoint 2007 platform to support secure collaboration, regulatory compliance, and operational continuity across its enterprise.
They partnered with Krish Services to lead a full-scale migration to a private cloud-based SharePoint platform, transforming multiple sites and terabytes of data into a secure, scalable, and future-ready digital workspace.
Client Background
The client is one of the top ten financial services groups in the U.S., with a legacy dating back to 1852. Serving millions nationwide, it is known for its forward-thinking digital investments and complex enterprise-scale infrastructure.
Challenge
- Massive Data Complexity: Thousands of legacy SharePoint sites made structured migration difficult without automation.
- Migration Risks & Downtime: A high risk of service disruption required careful planning and rollback measures.
- Lack of Governance Framework: There was no existing governance model to ensure consistency during and post-migration.
Solution
Krish migrated PNC’s SharePoint 2007 on-premises environment to SharePoint 2013 in a private cloud. We engaged in all phases of the migration, including planning, analysis, architecture, governance, communications, and scripting. We also issued dashboards to monitor the migration progress and utilized third-party tools like Sharegate.
